Social Emotional Learning

Each month, our school will focus on a different mindset in efforts to help the social and emotional climate within our school.

Please adhere to the following directives for the upcoming months:  

January: Our school will implement Mindset # 1, "Everything is Possible", and our staff and students will “Dress to Impress” every Wednesday during this month.  Teachers will discuss various career opportunities or career pathways with our students. 

February :  We will implement Mindset #2, "Passion First".  All staff and students will represent their favorite college or sports team by wearing a jersey, sweatshirt, t-shirt, or jacket every Friday along with discussing education and its benefits. 

March: Our school will implement Mindset # 4, "100% Accountable". The students and staff will hold each other accountable for excelling on schoolwide tests, state tests, and in completing their tasks. Teachers will post a list of students who are showing growth in their classroom outside in the hallway for all to see.   

April and May: Our school will implement Mindset #7, "The Time is Now".  We will give testing strategies and various tips to our students and staff on how to successfully show growth on the state test.
